Abstrak

This journal analyzes consumer legal protection in online buying and selling transactions on Salable in Surakarta City, which is a form of response to technological development and increasingly complex technology trade. This research is backgrounded by the increase in online transactions and the complexity of legal problems that accompany it such as damaged goods, delayed delivery, or not in accordance with orders that have the potential to harm consumers. In conducting this study, the author uses a qualitative method by adopting a juridical-empirical approach to examine the implementation of consumer rights, obstacles faced, and consumer protection strategies. This method involves the collection of primary data through in-depth interviews with Salable Solo management as well as secondary data from legislation and related literature to get a complete picture of consumer protection practices. The research results revealed that Salable Solo has implemented a number of consumer protection mechanisms that are relevant to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (UUPK). The strategic efforts carried out include a quality packaging system, establishing cooperation with trusted expeditions, and transparent product quality supervision. However, this study also identified a number of obstacles that are still faced such as delays in the delivery process and the occurrence of damage to goods during the transit process. The research results show that Salable Solo has consistently shown a commitment to fulfill the responsibilities of business actors that have been regulated in Article 7 of the Consumer Protection Act (UUPK). Salable Solo has strived to practice good intentions, provide transparent and honest information, and ensure product quality according to the established standards. This research is important because it provides an in-depth understanding of consumer protection on online platforms, and can be an input for business actors, policy makers, and related parties to continue to improve services and protection for consumers. Thus, this study not only contributes to the development of a legal framework for consumer protection in the digital era, but also opens up a space for dialogue and encourages business practices that are more responsible, transparent, and on the side of consumer interests.
