Open Access Policy

The Gema Journal, published by Universitas Islam Batik Surakarta (UNIBA), adheres to an Open Access policy to make research articles freely available to the global academic community and the public. All published content in this journal is accessible without any subscription or paywall, in accordance with the principles of open access publishing.

  1. Open Access Availability

Once an article is accepted for publication in the Gema Journal, it will be made available to the public immediately and without charge. The full text of each article is available on the journal's website for download in PDF format. This allows researchers, students, and the wider public to access and benefit from the latest research and scholarly works published in the journal.

  1. Licensing

All articles published in the Gema Journal are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This means that:

  • Authors retain the copyright of their articles.
  • The articles can be freely shared, reproduced, and distributed, as long as proper credit is given to the original author(s).
  • Users are allowed to adapt, transform, and build upon the work, provided that the new creations are licensed under identical terms.

Authors retain the copyright to their work upon publication. However, by submitting to the Gema Journal, authors grant the journal the right to publish their work under an open access license. Authors are free to share and distribute their published work elsewhere, including on their personal websites, institutional repositories, and other platforms, with appropriate attribution to the original publication in the Gema Journal.
